Yigit Can Senol, MD
Dr. Senol is originally from Turkey, where he earned his medical degree at Gazi University in Ankara. After completing his graduation, he successfully finished his neurosurgery residency at Health Sciences University Ankara Bilkent City Hospital. Driven by his passion for cerebrovascular diseases and endovascular interventions, during the last year of his residency, he engaged in research at Mayo Clinic's Neurovascular Lab in the United States, specializing in experimental animal models of aneurysms and stroke.
Dr. Senol brings a wealth of expertise in both basic science and clinical research, and he has a background in neuroendovascular surgery. Additionally, as a member of EANS (European Association of Neurosurgical Societies), Dr. Senol actively participated in EANS courses during his residency and had the opportunity to work in various clinics across Europe.
His primary aim is to advance his clinical and translational neurosurgical research, ultimately aspiring to pursue an endovascular clinical fellowship in the United States. Furthermore, he hopes to play a role in the development of innovative techniques for treating cerebrovascular diseases and to provide assistance to individuals in his homeland who require cerebrovascular treatment, especially those affected by aneurysms, strokes, and other cerebrovascular diseases.
